Also with comfort come safety and the use of pins. Well you have different options besides baby safety pins. Now you could have snaps or Velcro – like closures to secure the cloth diaper.
Something that a lot of new parents don’t think of is the advantage of cloth diapers and potty training. Cloth diapers lets the child feel the wetness thus possibly speeding up potty training.
The last benefit is using the cloth diaper after its intended use. Everyone needs rags there is nothing better than an old cloth diaper. This just shows you that cloth diapers can keep working for you and your family for years to come.
Although cloth diapers have several positives they also have a few negatives.
Cloth diapers can be very time consuming. If you plan to be very busy or a working mom, then it may be very difficult on keeping up with the dirty diapers. Also if the child spends time in a daycare, they will probably not want to take time with them. The diapers have to be washed separately and maybe even pre soaked.
Another negative can be during travel. What can you do with a dirty diaper during travel? Even if you don’t travel a lot a trip to the store is always possible. Where are you going to store the little stink bombs on short or long trips?
The last consideration is the possibilities of leakage. This means a mess on clothes as well as car seats and beds
